Today, one of my favourite pimple fighting serums. ISOI's Blemish Care Serum Plus.
It's rather expensive - definitely high-end drugstore, right among French pharmacy brands like Uriage, Vichy and the like. One small bottle of 35 ml retails for around KRW 32 at my local Olive Young, which equals around USD 30. On Amazon, it retails for USD 59.00. Whee - what a difference in price, isn't it? Here's your TL,DR: It's expensive but great.

Today's review is of Trilogy's hydrating mist toner. I got this as a gift with purchase (GWP) when I got their amazing organic rose hip oil - more on that one in a later post (hint: rose hip oil changed my life. no joke).
I used it during the summer months over makeup during the day, mainly to refresh myself. It smells beautifully delicate of rose and lavender but in a medicinal sort of way, if that makes sense. Okay, last one for now. I promise!
Just like the last few fresh products, here is another lovely smelling face mask that actually smells of actual roses. The texture, too, is amazing in that it is a gel containing small sivers of a slightly denser jelly material that disintegrates upon contact with the skin. It feels very refreshing as it goes on the skin, and applies very smoothly. The gel borders on liquid-y, so you definitely need to be a little careful when putting it on, or else it may slide right off. This is what fresh's website says: A unique gel formula infused with real rose petals and pure rosewater that hydrates and tones the complexion. ... and is that it? Whee! Finally, a Korean product again. I was getting a little antsy over featuring so many Western products when this was supposed to be a Korean beauty blog. This time, it's The Face Shop's Soft Cream Blusher in Pink.
Now that I have used up this blusher entirely, I do actually miss it. The only reason why I am not repurchasing it is because I have two other pink blushers, one of which is a liquid blush, and I have forbidden myself from buying duplicates. Ugh. Let me tell you why I liked using this so much. Today on the blog: fresh's Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Face Mask. They certainly like to throw in evocative buzzwords into their product names and product descriptions.
According to their website, 'Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask with a vitamin fruit complex features a concentrated citrus fruit blend of crushed oranges, lemons, and clementines that helps gently refine the appearance of the skin to soften, smooth, and improve clarity. The highly innovative mask is formulated with a proprietary vitamin fruit complex, a potent blend of vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin B5; lemon and orange fruit extracts; and revitalizing minerals, to reveal an incredibly vibrant, healthy-looking complexion.' Now, I really thought that I was going to love this deluxe sample (again, gifted by my mum). Another one from fresh! Yay! This time, it's their Rose deep hydrating face serum.
What a beautifully scented product! I loved applying this. Though, if you are very sensitive, you might find it irritating. Cosdna has several irritants listed for this serum. I have sensitive skin that is acne prone, and luckily it didn't affect me. Another boh botanic heal cream! This time, it's their derme defense eye fill cream. It came as a GWP (gift with purchase), so I did not actually buy it myself.
Why is that, you may ask? As a matter of fact, I, for one, do not believe in eye creams, generally speaking. Is that weird? Another fresh product. This time, it's their black tea age delay instant infusion treatment toner.
I just wish you could smell it. If this were a perfume, I'd bathe in in on the daily. The smell is heavenly, reminiscent of black iced bubble tea with a dash of milk. The texture is very rich, too. In fact I'd use this as a serum rather than a toner due to its beautifully smooth, thick texture that simply glides over your skin. It is milky white in colour and very nourishing. It is supposed to be an anti aging product but really, anyone can benefit from this, I believe. Today's review is Beyond the Remedy's Root Therapy Toner. Is anyone else irritated by that font? I couldn't figure out whether it said remedy or remady, until I realised that it really says remedy but in a really hipstery style.
All of their products seem to have that same signature scent, which is one of the best aromas I have ever smelled. Rather gentle but a bit herbal and medicinal at the same time. Today, a favourite product of mine! It's Fresh's Black Tea Age Delay Firming Serum.
Fresh would ordinarily be a bit out of my price range. My mum in law did however gift me with a number of deluxe samples, which I gratefully accepted. Out of all the skincare products she gave me, this has got to be my favourite. First off, let's talk about the packaging! |
