Another boh botanic heal cream! This time, it's their derme defense eye fill cream. It came as a GWP (gift with purchase), so I did not actually buy it myself. Why is that, you may ask? As a matter of fact, I, for one, do not believe in eye creams, generally speaking. Is that weird? A few years ago, when I first started getting into skincare, I realised that no, I should not believe everything they tell you on commercials, and yes, I should do my own research.
I quickly realised that in my case, eye creams did not really do much for me. Indeed, while I do enjoy using them if I get one for free, my entire skin care routine is so well thought out and tailored to my needs, I do not need another product for my under eye area simply because all the products that I slap on on the daily are doing their job already. And the same goes for this cream. It was nice to use and it certainly hydrated my under eyes well. They felt plumper, softer and more refreshed. But is that a result of the eye cream alone? Was it not the synergistic effect of all the other lotions and potions that I was also using? Was I not able to achieve this without this cream? It was a nice cream, but I will not repurchase as eye creams as a category do not give me magical results. For me, using an eye cream does not make sense. If you, however, have a very pared down routine and are looking for an eye cream specifically, you will definitely enjoy using this one.
