Whew, this one's a mouthful! And what a great product it is. I absolutely love this one and keep repurchasing it because of the amazing results it delivers. But first, let's talk about essences.
Essences are, as far as I am aware, more of a Korean than a Western thing. What I (and many others) like to do is use them after toner, but before serums and/or moisturiser, oil, or sunscreen. Missha's in particular is an essence that contains fermented yeast. SK-II might have been the pioneer of the yeast essences, for, if I remember correctly, a whole slew of yeast essences followed suit when SK-II launched theirs. I have not tried SK-II's offering, and therefore cannot comment on its efficacy or whether it is different to Missha's. All I know is that I lurrrrve Missha's essence - let me tell you why.

Today's review is Beyond the Remedy's Root Therapy Toner. Is anyone else irritated by that font? I couldn't figure out whether it said remedy or remady, until I realised that it really says remedy but in a really hipstery style.
All of their products seem to have that same signature scent, which is one of the best aromas I have ever smelled. Rather gentle but a bit herbal and medicinal at the same time. |
